RE HOME A FARM CAT
The farm cats live in small communal groups at the trust. Prior to leaving they are vet checked, tested for Feline Leukaemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, Micro chipped, Neutered and have been well wormed and treated for fleas and ear mites.
Cats that are required to live outside need to be provided with draft proof accommodation and are best kept in groups of two or more. It is important that they are fed a good quality diet, as cats hunt for sport not for food. It is also vital that they are wormed and treated for fleas on a regular basis.
We are able to loan a folding dog crate to put in a suitable building or tack room to allow the cats to become accustomed to their new environment prior to release.
There is a charge of £30 per cat but this can vary depending on the number of cats required.
We do occasionally have friendly cats and kittens available for domestic homes.
If you are interested in re-homing a farm cat it is by appointment only. Please phone 01673 844628.
Please note: we do not home farm cats close to busy roads.
